Adegboyega Arohunmolase is an artist based in Nigeria whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. His works document the myths, folklore, and folktales of his culture for younger and future generations, most of which do not have the opportunity of hearing them directly from their parents and grandparents, as he did. Arohunmolase compositions are inspired by the Ona artisitc style. Ona which means Design is one of the artistic movements of the many fruits or harvest emanating from the natural synthesis theory of the late 1950s in Nigeria contemporary art. Yoruba people of South-Western Nigeria constitute one of the strongest and largest cultural groups in Africa South of the Sahara, descendants of great ancestry and progeny of notable tradition as well as Expressionism. He most often creates with acrylics and collage on paper.
